A little something I made for Tekmosis, he wanted a banner and after being so kind to me, hell , it was the least I could do! X3
I sketched it up, took a picture and pulled out the good ol' pentool, it's perfect for this kind of look. X3

(I've never seen so many cool little figurines for a game like this! D8 I love it)

I struggle with the pen tool as I don't use it as often and try to freehand everything. Nice to see what it can do in more experienced hands.

There are some pretty good guides, once I learned from LanDi about the strokes and deleting the curve points it became almost limitless... maybe we can try making some guides in the forum. 83<
Free hand is best imo, but somtimes the situation calls for "flawnessless" It's amazing what you can do in photoshop these days @ .@

This is so cute I never used to use the pen tool. It was my sworn enemy but I decided to call a truce recently and its been going pretty well ^^ Sometimes you gotta give it a chance ^^

Really love this though!

Thank you ='D Haha! I hated the pen tool too, I thought it was close to cheating but I have changed my mind on the matter... Art mediums are going to dramaticly change, like now with 3D printers, someone made a blueprint in a computer and it comes out just as you and the computer made it... It is a form of creativity spite it's not directly handmade...
I will always favor handmade art because there's more soul in it, but when you're considering to go for a certain style... Well, I'm starting to like what technology can aid you in

I think a lot of people have the view that a computer does all the work for you. And thats why a lot of traditional artists stay away from it. Which is a real shame. The way I see it is software is just another tool, just like oil pastels or paint. Anyone can use it but to use it to its fullest potential, you need the creative skill and the imagination to make something beautiful appear and that is just the same as traditional art too. Both start with an empty canvas : )

And 3D printing is amazing! I hope to get better at my 3D sculpting so I can print something one day ^^ They actually just released a pen with similar technology to 3D printers (as it heats and cools the plastic) so you can create 3D sculptures traditionally! looks pretty awesome, though its still pretty basic.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it too, the important thing about it as well to have the eye for it too.. like photography, some even say that's just point and click! Pfft! if it was that easy there would be no more of the photographer profession. XP

My dream is to first being able to visit a marble artist and try a hobby course in Tuscany, I've been looking into it and the rare I find are SO tempting ( usually it's just linked to a hotel with pretty awful stuff, I want to meet a real traditionalist and try it hands on @ _@ Anyway XD sounds a bit like wax molding you mentioned? the link didn't work I'm afraid X3;

And yeah I agree! Photography is really difficult. I could never get the hang. My sisters bf is a good photographer but he prefers to use film instead of a digital camera.

And marble? wow thats pretty amazing. I imagine something like that would be a lot rarer nowadays. Do you do a lot of sculpture at the moment?
And dang :/ Dont know why it didnt work...well if your interested just type in "3Doodler" into youtube and its pretty much the first video link.
